Ziz
Ziz is the king of birds in Jewish legends, one of the three monstrous rulers along with Leviathan and Behemoth. Its wings are so huge that they can block out the sun. Ziz protects the earth from the southern storms. At the end of time, Ziz will be served as a delicacy to the pious at the end of time to compensate for abstaining from eating unclean fowls.
Ziz is also called Renanim, as it is the celestial singer. Ziz also appeared in recent children's books, such as The Princess and the Ziz, Noah and the Ziz, and The Ziz and the Hanukkah Miracle.
