Synopsis :

The military cliques of Illier are gearing up, possibly for war against Targa or a civil war. As a constitutional monarchy, Illier nobles swear a pledge to be loyal to the king, serve the country, and protect the weak.

Leona suspects Stratavista to be involved, so she got a private flying ship from Marchetti and Caisse. You arrive in Armonia to find insignia in Latina that the Pope recognizes.

Lynn is poisoned in a fight with some hunters, whose leader Jason says that nobles no longer care about the peasants since Duke Bethel took the fiefdom of Duke Bernier. After protecting them from wild beasts, you enter Bethel to meet Amy Shausen, who wants you to collect id tags of the casualties in the plains.

Bethel Free City was built by Duke Bethel to defend the capital Ilissia. Duke Bethel claims to be protecting the peace in Bethel against the troops of Duke Herbert, who refused to contribute in sending troops to investigate the plains. Leona and Lynn are taken by Bethel.

In Illier, Patrician clique seeks to prevent war through diplomacy, while Evora clique insists peace must be established by force. Amy, chief of staff of Evora, explains that Duke Bethel leads the Patrician clique.

Amy wants you to help with demolishing the slums to prevent a plague in exchange for releasing Leona and Lynn. After agreeing to help, you change your mind upon seeing the soldiers killing peasants. You found a way to shield the peasants from the bombardment of the Witchcraft Troops.

After learning about the bombardment, Amy confronts Duke Bethel as the troop is commanded by Count Bagellan who serves Duke Bethel. The duke says that sacrificing the weak is necessary, but Amy says he is violating the pledge.

You defend Amy as the duke orders an attack. Lynn arrives and threatens to report the situation of the slums to the archon. Lynn reveals that her sister is opposed to Duke Bethel and is at the center of a brewing civil war.

Amy visits the slums and agonizes over the peasants' conditions. Amy asks Leona to buy the land in Bethel Great Plain for the peasants. Later, Lynn reports that the archon agreed to cooperate in search for Stratavista if you investigate the crop failure in Bethel Great Plain.

You find a rune in the plain, but Duke Bethel refuses to allow its analysis. Evora sends troops to help, and you find similar runes on the monsters in the plain. You encounters a treant monster called Talos, but a mysterious dark soul tells him to go back to sleep.

Through a time piece, the dark soul claims that God created many weapons to save humans from the abysses and Talos was the strongest weapon that destroyed five subordinates of Oscuras. The dark soul wants to use Talos to destroy mankind.

Amy says that Talos is being shackled by Armonia rune spells and that it is powered by the stars. You show some twisted symbols to Hamaan, who says that there are another five constellations imbued with the power of God. Unlike the pure twelve, these five hold dark destructive power. These ancients fought among themselves over this division and it led to the end of the golden age. Then the chaos were stopped by demigods, sent by God to stop humans from killing each other.

Meanwhile, Patrician wants to destroy Talos, while Evora wants to control it as a weapon for Illier, possibly t ocounter the Focused Magic Cannon of Vespanola. To defeat Talos, you approach Harpe Valeron, foster son of Ignacio Valeron, to upgrade a constellation weapon. He agrees to do so after his foster daughter Violet was injured by Talos on her way back from Armonia.

As Patrician and Evora argues, Dietrich the royal guard commander arrives to give an order from the king and the archon. Lynn spearheads the effort to destroy Talos, but her prototype sword breaks after damaging Talos' core. Assisted by the Witchcraft Troops, you defeated Talos and noticed a dark shadow near it.

Leona thinks it is strange for elusive Stratavista to appear so often and it warrants more investigation...

5. Collect Hextech Core of Auto Baron (quest item) x1 by killing Auto Baron (100%) in Viron Clock Tower Lost Time (13F) mission.
• Alternatively, you can use an Auto Baron Spinelle to summon and kill it. The item is sold for 7,000,000 Vis in Ustiur Base Camp (F5).
• In v27.56.86, you can get it from a quest mission by spending 2,500 reputation points.
6. Talk to Marchetti in Kielce Laboratory (F10) to give him the above item.

3. Collect Composite Steel x2,500 and Philosopher's Stone x1,000.
• Philosopher's Stone is a common drop in Katovic Snowfield and Frozen Plain.
• In v27.56.86, this will be reduced to Composite Steel x250 and Philosopher's Stone x100.
4. Talk to Valeron in Bethel (C3) to give him the above items.
5. Collect the following quest items in Occulta Fortress.
• Kobold Elder Armor Piece (quest item) x100: Kill Kobold Elder (33%).
• Dullahan Weapon Piece (quest item) x100: Kill Dullahan Guardian (100%) or Dullahan Gunner (100%).
• Tip: Necro Shaman in Occult Fortress (E6) can keep summoning Dullahans with his Animate Dead skill.
6. Talk to Valeron in Bethel (C3) to give him the above items.
7. Collect Golem Fragment (quest item) x1 by killing Great Plain Leaping Croc (1%), Great Plain Hornet (1%), Great Plain Bison (1%), Great Plain Boar (1%), or Great Plain Bear (1%) in Bethel Great Plain.
8. Talk to Valeron in Bethel (C3) to give him the above item.
9. Talk to Valeron in Bethel (C3) again on the next day for reward.

Prerequisites: Completed the quest above.

1. Trigger a non-combat mission ("Between Progress and Stability") in Bethel Great Plain (I7).
2. Talk to Amy in Bethel (D3).
3. Trigger a combat mission ("Operation D", 10 minutes) in Bethel Great Plain (I7).
• Reduce Talos to 50% HP with a quest version of Lynn (MCC1).
• Your own characters will be disabled for this mission.
• Tip: Buff Lynn with her personal skill (Protect Weapon) and 2nd skill (Consilium). You can get extra buff from items on the floor.
• Tip: Avoid area bombardment denoted by a red circle and a loading bar.
• Tip: Talos has a large area skill centered on himself and a forward charge skill which can stun. He can also summon bears. 
• Tip: When Talos turns red with Blood Smell status, he will gain ATK 15,233 and ATK Rating 68. Avoid a direct confrontation.
• Tip: Talos can also gain Protection Field status (DEF 324).
4. Trigger a combat mission ("Operation L", 10 minutes) in Bethel Great Plain (I7).
• Defeat Talos.
• Tip: Use a tank (e.g. Sirius) and 2 shooting/melee attackers.
• Tip: Lure Talos into the magic circle, which randomly appears once per 30 seconds. If he is within the area when the circle activates, he will gain Armor Crasher status, which reduces his DEF to 0.
• Tip: As before, Talos can turn red with Blood Smell status, giving him ATK Rating 81 and ATK 19,602.
• Tip: You need 1 minute 10 seconds of Time Left for additional NPC dialogue.

Valeron now trades Recipe - Elite Constellation Weapon for Symbol of Ursa Major x1, Symbol of Lupus x1, Symbol of Spider x1, Symbol of Phoenix x1, and Symbol of Pegasus x1.
