Time Piece - Sauterelle
Introduced in v9.5, all Time Piece (aka Time Paradox) missions come in 2 versions - normal and broken. You can select which type in the room creation window. Broken Time Piece mission is easier, but rewards less crystals from its roulette.
This raid mission is mainly for collecting Strata Devil Weapon materials and for making Evil Weapons (ATK Rating 34) - rod, staff, or lute. It is also needed for Piece of Sauterelle (quest item) in Recruit Ion quests. You must be alive and near the boss when he dies to acquire the quest item.
Mission Information
Location: Viron (E7)
Frequency: 2/day
Duration: 60 minutes
Participants: 1-12
Entry Cost: Free (1/day), 200 Shiny Crystals (2/day)
Requirement: Must have [Time Crystal] Sauterelle quest to receive roulette reward
In v23.63.43, you can redo the mission by paying 200 Shiny Crystals. The maximum number of participants for Time Piece missions was reduced from 24 to 12.
A tank is recommended for the squad. Fire element users (e.g. Ludin) are preferred as damage dealers. A dedicated [Whole Cancellation] team is helpful, but not entirely necessarily.
A. Gestalt Transformer: Cruise
There may be Blinded Hornets (see below) around. Kill them first, then the tank can go forward to provoke Cruise. This mini-boss is very status-prone, and can receive [Shock], [Burn], [Paralysis], [Fear], and [Broken Armor] statuses. Use [Protection Field] to tank it, if needed.
After its hit points reach a certain amount (75%), a zone notice will announce: Cruise is shrinking. It will become a mob of Cruejins. If the tank is unable to provoke all of them, the attackers can use [Protection Field] and finish them off. Once the green gauge bar on Cruise is full, any surviving Cruejins will merge back into its original form. If all the Cruejins are dead, Jin Cruise will appear instead.
Once you killed it, a zone notice will announce: Loud music is coming from inside the garden.
B. Mandradora Passage
Kill all of these monsters in the passage. Tank can provoke any Hornets that appear.
C. Blinded Hornets
Kill any of these monsters that are in the way to Sauterelle. Tank can provoke them.
D. Sauterelle
This boss deals mental damage, so the tank should receive anti-magic defenses, such as [Magic Barrier] + [Spell Break Rhythm] + [Maestoso] + [Con Impeto]. The tank can back against the fountain to avoid being knocked too far away (see screenshot above). Once his attention is secured by the tank, attackers and dispel team (if any) can move in to hit from behind.
When its hit points reach a certain amount, the boss will trash-talk in public chat. Soon after, a zone notice will announce: HP decreases once you are near the poisonous grass. Poisonous Grass will appear nearby. Anyone in contact with the grass will suffer damage and may be subjected to [Burn], [Freeze], or [Shock] status. Simply move away from the grass to avoid it.
Reward
Sauterelle may drop White Gold Bars, Lv.92/96/100/Veteran Enchantment Chips, Lv.92 Elite Equipment, Lv.96 Elite Weapon (rare), Lv.100 Elite Weapon (rare), Le Noir, Pieces of Naraka, and 1-3 of each Sauterelle's Strata Devil Weapon materials (e.g. Baton of Sauterelle). The roulette will spin immediately upon the death of the boss for players with [Time Crystal] Sauterelle quest. Bonus roulette costs 1,500,000 Vis.
In v23.63.43, the boss drops only 1-5 Wing, Baton, and Feeler of Sauterelle. Once the boss is dead, roulette chest will appear where the boss first appears. Broken Time Piece mission rewards 1-4 Time Crystals, while normal Time Piece mission rewards 2-8 Time Crystals. Portable Ancient Star Orb Box has also been removed from the roulette. The amount of Time Crystals required to make Evil Weapon has been reduced from 600 to 150. Bonus roulette still costs 1,500,000 Vis.
