Scenario: The Promise of Barons

The Promise of Barons scenario was added in v27.67.68. This guide is based on USA game client (v28.50.39). See Patch Notes for later changes (if any).


You will need to give/use the following items:
  • Otite Perfume (optional) x1 per day (approximately 4)
  • Shiny Crystal x400
You will need to complete the following raid missions:
  • Trinity Elemental Force (Rank 4)
  • Endless Greed (Rank 4)
  • Demonic Ice Wizard's Tower (Rank 3 or Hard)
  • Prison de Joaquin Basement (Rank 4)
  • Time Piece Nephthys (Normal or Broken)
You will need to kill monsters in the following field maps:
  • Lago Celeste
  • Bahama Underground Cave 1F (left side)
  • Tierra de los Muertos


[130][The Promise of Barons] A Suspicious Invitation
Prerequisites: Completed Kurt's Baron Search side quests.
  1. Trigger quest mail by moving to Los Toldos.
    • You must have an active Otite Perfume or at least Baron Lv.1 to enter Los Toldos via Mamons in Porto Bello Deserted Quay (E3).
  2. Talk to Kurt (aka Nameless Person) in Los Toldos (B5).
  3. Talk to Johnny in Los Toldos (I7).
  4. Collect Magical Scroll of Abyss (quest item) x2 by killing Abyss Contractor (100%) in Trinity Elemental Force (Rank 4) mission.
  5. Talk to Johnny in Los Toldos (I7) to give the above items.
  6. Start a non-combat mission ("The Curse of Mueletos") in Tierra de los Muertos (G7).
    • Talk to Gloomy Old Man in Los Toldos (K8) to enter Tierra de los Muertos. Each entry costs 100 Shiny Crystals.

Prerequisites: Completed the quest above.
Reward: White Gold Bar x3.
  1. Talk to Johnny in Los Toldos (I7) to start a combat mission ("Johnny vs Kurt", 5 minutes).
    • Reduce Johnny to 1% HP using a quest version of Kurt (MCC1).
    • Mission fails if Johnny dies. Your own team will be disabled.
    • Tip: Use only normal attacks to avoid killing Johnny.
  2. Start a combat mission ("Kidnap", 10 minutes) in Cite de Reboldoeux (E11).
    • Defeat 100 Young Girls using a quest version of Kurt (MCC1; same statistics as previous mission).
    • Mission fails if you are detected by the soldiers 5 times. Your own team will be disabled.
    • Tip: This is a rather difficult mission because the AI for Kurt is messed up. Do not click on the Young Girl or he will run all over the place. Instead, move right next to her and then press Spacebar.
    • Tip: Use only the 5th skill (Lv.12 Cut and Thrust) to quickly kill the soldier close to you. Wait for the skill to cool down before engaging another soldier, since his other skills are at Lv.1.
    • Tip: More soldiers will spawn when you are detected. Male soldiers walk slowly, while female soldiers run around. 
    • Tip: Be careful when you or the soldiers are on elevated ground (e.g. fountain area), as the soldiers can detect you from above or below and you may not be able to reach them in time due to the terrain.
    • Tip: I recommend redoing the mission if you are detected more than once before you defeated 50 girls.
  3. Talk to Claude in Cite de Reboldoeux (D6).
  4. Talk to Kurt in Los Toldos (B5).
  5. Start a combat mission ("An Innocent Man", 10 minutes) in Porto Bello Deserted Quay (F3).
    • Defeat Claude and the Reboldoeux Soldiers.
    • Kurt, Johnny, Mamons, and a few barons will fight for you.
  6. Talk to Johnny in Los Toldos (I7) for reward.

    • Defeat Diego.
    • Tip: He can be knocked down even with normal attacks.
  2. Talk to Diego in Cite de Reboldoeux (F8).
  3. Talk to Oswalt in Viron (H11).
  4. Talk to Kurt in Los Toldos (B5).

  5. Collect Mystic Sky Blue Dye (quest item) x20 by killing Blue Fish (10%) in Bahama Underground Cave 1F (left side).

  7. Collect Mystic Golden Dye (quest item) x2 by killing Master of Greed (50%) in Endless Greed (Rank 4) mission.
  8. Talk to Elizabeth in Kielce (K8) to give the above items and receive reward.

[130][The Promise of Barons] An Innocent Man
Prerequisites: Completed the quest above.
Reward: White Gold Bar x3.
  1. Talk to Johnny in Los Toldos (I7).
  2. Click on the rock in Los Toldos (I7) to start a non-combat mission ("Another Shelter"). 
    • Talk to Phil inside the mission.
    • Note: There is no exit here, so you have to warp out.
  3. Start a combat mission ("Altar Rescue Operation", 15 minutes) in Tierra de los Muertos (D5).
    • Destroy the 8 Barriers of Baron (object), while surviving the barons' attacks.
    • Mission fails if any baron die. 
    • Tip: More barons will appear as the barriers are destroyed.
  4. Click on the rock in Los Toldos (I7) to start a non-combat mission ("Another Shelter"). 
    • Talk to Anna inside the mission.
  5. Collect Perfect Ice Cube (quest item) x5 by killing Demonic Elmorc (10% or 20%) in Demonic Ice Wizard's Tower (Rank 3 or Hard) mission.
  6. Talk to Elisa in Castilla Base 1 (H9) to give the above items.
  7. Collect Fever Reducer Recipe (quest item) x2 by killing Testormento (25%) in Prison de Joaquin Basement (Rank 4) mission.
  8. Talk to Elisa in Castilla Base 1 (H9) to give the above items and receive reward.

  1. Click on the rock in Los Toldos (I7) to start a non-combat mission ("Another Shelter"). 
    • Talk to Anna inside the mission.
  2. Talk to Johnny in Los Toldos (I7).
  3. Start a combat mission ("Miracle Exchange", 10 minutes) in Tierra de los Muertos (C6).
    • Defeat all the Mueletos (undead).
    • Kurt will fight for you. Mission fails if Kurt dies.
  4. Talk to Johnny in Los Toldos (I7) for reward.

[130][The Promise of Barons] Stop the Punitive Force
Prerequisites: Completed the quest above.
  1. Start a combat mission ("The Deal of Lucia", 30 minutes) in Jezebel Glen (E10).
    • Reduce the number of soldiers (human) to less than the number of barons by the end of 3 minutes. Mission fails if there are more soldiers than barons after 3 minutes. 
    • Three barons will fight for you.
    • Tip: Use a tanker (e.g. Sirius) to provoke Kazan, while another character use area attack skills to kill all the other soldiers. You do not need to kill Kazan.
    • Tip: The soldiers deal physical damage, so Emilia can use Protection Field skill to protect your attacking character. 
    • Tip: Kazan can still inflict Armor Crasher (DEF 0) status, so it is easier to use a tanker than all attackers with Protection Field.
  2. Talk to Diego in Cite de Reboldoeux (F8).
  3. Talk to Gerar Loren in Pegadilla via Port of Coimbra (B9).
  4. Collect Shiny Treasure Chest (quest item) x3 by killing Master of Greed (10%) in Endless Greed (Rank 4) mission.
  5. Talk to Gerar Loren in Pegadilla to give the above items.
  6. Start a non-combat mission ("The Shadow of the Merchant") in Porto Bello (F3).

  1. Talk to Kurt in Los Toldos (B5).
  2. Start a quest dialogue in Los Toldos (I7/J8) to receive reward.

[130][The Promise of Barons] The Promise Made Before the Grave
Prerequisites: Completed the quest above.
Reward: Custom Wing Premium Shape (Grave Stone), Story Page of Madness of Seinquis - Scarlett x4, White Gold Bar x3.
  1. Start a combat mission ("Baron's Will", 30 minutes) in Porto Bello (F3).
    • Survive the attacks of Kazan (human) and his soldiers (human) for 5 minutes.
    • Kurt and 4 barons will fight for you. Mission fails if Kurt dies.
    • Tip: This is similar to the previous mission, except that Kazan will summon more soldiers over time.
    • Tip: Clear the soldiers before more are summoned. You do not need to kill Kazan.
    • Tip: Kazan can inflict Mortal Wound (ATK -15%, DEF -50, Move/ATK Speed -15%) status, while the female soldiers can inflict Expose (Move Speed -20%, DEF -30, AR -1, DR -2, ATK -10%, Shooting Damage Received +58%) status.
  2. Start a non-combat mission ("The Promise Made Before the Grave") in Porto Bello (G6).
  3. Talk to Johnny in Los Toldos (I7) for reward.

This is followed by The Future of Barons scenario. According to Story Book window, the pages for Madness of Seinquis - Scarlett and Passion of Seinquis - Ciel are acquired from Mueletos Chief, which respawns in 20 minutes at Tierra de los Muertos (G9).

[Potion of Karin] Collecting Teresia's Research Samples (Repeat 1/day)
Prerequisites: None.
Reward: Certificate of Karin (quest item) x1-15 (depends on family level).
  1. Trigger quest mail by moving to any town.
  2. Talk to Teresia in Cite de Reboldoeux (G7).
  3. Collect Blood Sample of New Continent Monster (quest item) x10 by starting the roulette of various rank missions.
    • You get 1 quest item per rank, so you get 5 quest items for completing a Rank 5 mission.
  4. Talk to Teresia in Cite de Reboldoeux (G7) to receive reward.

You can buy various types of Karin's Potion from Precious Metal Merchant in towns. Each potion costs 200 Shiny Crystals and 1 Karin's Certificate, and lasts for 5 minutes when used. You can have up to 500 certificates in your inventory.
