The Symphonia Ep.4 Scenario: The Symbol of the Titan

The Symphonia Episode 4 scenario was added in v28.40.08. This guide is based on USA game client (v28.50.39). See Patch Notes for later changes (if any).

Synopsis :

Only a select few are allowed into Imperium Rex, so Leona gets you to bribe Joshua with some crap from the New Continent. Chief of Staff Mikhail lends you his Silver Wolf Insignia as a member of Kadapia Parliament after you acquired some supplies for him. Labid and Dorr intercept you as you enter Imperium Rex. After beating up some brainwashed parliament members, you find Kael despite the misgivings of Dietrich and Amy. Apparently, he's a playboy with groin of steel. He flirts with Lynn, but Kranus interrupts and everyone flees.

The warp gate opens and Monblant Bethel arrives with his troops despite not having the authority to use the gate. Monblant decides to prove his loyalty by punishing you who entered the palace armed, even if he has to become a traitor in the process. Monblant orders Kael, who is a patrician, to execute you and Dietrich, insinuating that Baron Pai and Princess Eloise may not be safe. Lynn duels with Kael, and both goes down. As Monblant prepares to kill all of you, Mikhail arrives with Joshua, who affirms your contribution to retake Imperium Arma and decides to leave Patrician faction. Monblant withdraws after Mikhail reminds him of the archon's Gold Wolf Recruitment which summons all troops in Illier. It seems Joshua and Kael dated in the past.

Dietrich wants Kael's help, so you run after him back in Illisia. After helping him to flirt with Lolita Violet, Major Cheryl, and Neely, you forcefully bring him back to Imperium Rex, just when Dietrich and the rest are defeated by Kranus. Kael says he hates the corrupt country but still loves the women of Illier. After holding Kranus off, he retreats. Orden reveals that Laila scattered Kranus' sword, body, and symbol around the world, and that the symbol of the titan is "here".

Kael tells you to visit Lyndell, who commissions Black Cat who discovers that the power of corazon is needed to suppress the symbol of the titan. Monblant returns and decides to take everyone while they are injured. You hold off the vanguards until Mikhail arrives and censures Monblant. Evora lost a lot of troops, so Kael suggests Evora and Patrician work together to suppress the titan. Together, you defeated Kranus, who is moved to Imperium Glory by Violante. Orden asks where is the lost gold wolf. Mikhail says the archon is preparing to recapture Imperium Glory, while everyone leaves to take a break.

Meanwhile, Black Cat visits Kael and says someone wants either the Dietrich or Monblant dead, possibly to end the civil war. Black Cat bribes him with a swimsuit picture of Viscount Lily, the most beautiful woman in Illier. Black Cat is saving up to open a cafe in the countryside. Black Cat later talks to Monblant, thinking that the lost gold wolf is Princess Rubiana and that someone considers Monblant as a mere chess piece. Monblant laments about the state of Illier and asks what Duke Diana (who has a story book via Bethel Daily Quests) would have done...

You will need to give the following items:

• Dragon Leather x10
• Dragon Horn x10
• Teeth of Tyrannos x1
• Skull of Spino x1
• Pure Otite x20

You will need to complete the following raid missions:

• Castilla Mine (Normal or Hard)
• Castilla Relic (Normal or Hard)
• Castilla Tower of Chaos (Normal or Hard)
• Time Piece Nephthys (Normal or Broken), Talos (Expert/Master/High Master), or Lucifer Basement Single Cortes (Rank 5)

You will need to kill monsters in the following field maps:

• Bethel Great Plain
• Bernier Mansion 1F
• Imperium Rex
• Imperium Arma

The monster kills must be done consecutively one at a time. I don't know why you can't do them all at the same time even though they are on the same map. I can only conclude that IMC intentionally designed it this way to waste your time. 😠 These new quests are horribly repetitive.

Prerequisites: Completed The Symphonia Episode 3 scenario.
Reward: (a) White Gold Bar x5, Expert G EXP Card x5, Medal of Honor G x1; (b) White Gold Bar x7, Expert G EXP Card x7, Medal of Honor G x1.

1. Trigger quest mail by moving to Illisia.
2. Talk to Dietrich in Illisia (E7).
3. Collect Dragon Horn x10 and Dragon Leather x10.
• These items drop in Ustiur Jungle Area 1-4 maps.
4. Talk to Joshua in Imperium Arma (G4) to give her the above items.
5. Collect Teeth of Tyrannos x1 and Skull of Spino x1.
• Teeth of Tyrannos is dropped by Tyrannosaurus (100%) in The Tyrannosaurus mission at Ustiur Jungle Area 2 (E1). Skull of Spino is dropped by Spinosaurus (20%) in Ustiur Jungle Area 4.
6. Talk to Joshua in Imperium Arma (G4) to give her the above items.
7. Talk to Leona in Illisia (G10) for reward (a).
8. Talk to Dietrich in Illisia (E7).
9. Talk to Chief of Staff Mikhail in Imperium Arma (G2).
10. Collect Bethel Bison Meat (quest item) x300 by killing Great Plain Bison (50%) in Bethel Great Plain.
11. Collect Sharp Claw of Great Plain Bear (quest item) x200 by killing Great Plain Bear (33%) in Bethel Great Plain.
12. Collect Poison Sting of Great Plain Hornet (quest item) x100 by killing Great Plain Hornet (20%) in Bethel Great Plain.
13. Collect Sharp Iron of Candler (quest item) x200 by killing Mansion Candle Geister (50%) in Bernier Mansion 1F.
14. Collect Magical Power Source of Deus Machina (quest item) x100 by killing Fire/Ice/Lightning Deus Machina (10%) in Bernier Mansion 1F/2F.
15. Talk to Chief of Staff Mikhail in Imperium Arma (G2) to give the above items and receive reward (b).

Prerequisites: Completed the quest above.

1. Start a combat mission ("Secret Guest", 5 minutes) in Imperium Rex (F11).
• Reduce Labid (undead) and Dorr (wildlife) to 50% HP.
• Tip: When one of them is reduced to 50% HP, there will be a message that says the target has become invincible. At that time, switch to the other target instead.
• Tip: Both Labid and Dorr can inflict Stun status with their area attacks.
2. Start a quest dialogue in Imperium Rex (F10/G10).
3. Kill Kadapia Parliament Task Force x400 in Imperium Rex (F6/G7).
4. Kill Kadapia Parliament Strike Force x400 in Imperium Rex (F6/G7).
5. Start a quest dialogue in Imperium Rex (F8/G8).
6. Start a quest dialogue in Imperium Rex (F7/G7).
7. Talk to Kael in Imperium Rex (G3) to start a non-combat mission ("Kranus the Great Warlord").

1. Start a non-combat mission ("Counterattack of Duke") in Imperium Rex (F11).
2. Continue with a combat mission ("Lynn vs. Kael", 10 minutes) that immediately follows the previous mission.
• Reduce Kael (human) to 20% HP with a quest version of Lynn (MCC1). 
• Your own team will be disabled.
• Tip: Kael can inflict Mortal Wound status.
3. Start a non-combat mission ("Rescue") in Imperium Rex (F11).

1. Start a quest dialogue in Imperium Rex (F11).
2. Talk to Patrician Captain Zero in Illisia (F1).
3. Collect Evora Insignia (quest item) x300 by killing Evora Regular Army Scout/Trooper/Guard/Task Force/Strike Force/Support Unit/Fire Support Unit (20% or 100%) in Imperium Arma or Imperium Arma (Twisted Time).
• Tip: Evora soldiers appear in the left rooms (E6/E7). You can do this quest together with Collecting Insignias quest (see Recruit Joshua) to avoid unnecessary farming.
4. Talk to Patrician Captain Zero in Illisia (F1) to give the above items and receive reward (a).
5. Talk to Violet in Illisia (H7).
6. Talk to Lisa in Port of Coimbra (G9).
7. Collect Cabosse of Chaos Phobitan General (quest item) x3 by killing Chaos Phobitan General (20% or 100%) in Castilla Mine (Normal or Hard) mission.
• In v27.73.23, you can enter Castilla Mine for free 1/day. Extra entries for normal mode cost 1 Ancient Relic per 3 extra entries + 50 x [number of extra entries] reputation points. Extra entry for hard mode requires Home Premium Service (aka Explorer Pack). 
8. Talk to Lisa in Port of Coimbra (G9) to give the above items.
9. Talk to Violet in Illisia (H7) for reward (b).
10. Talk to Evora 2nd Lt. Dijas in Illisia (E8).
11. Collect Patrician Insignia (quest item) x300 by killing Patrician Regular Army Scout/Trooper/Guard/Task Force/Strike Force/Support Unit/Fire Support Unit (20% or 100%) in Imperium Arma or Imperium Arma (Twisted Time).
• Tip: Patrician soldiers appear in the right rooms (I6/I7). You can do this quest together with Collecting Insignias quest (see Recruit Joshua) to avoid unnecessary farming.
12. Talk to Evora 2nd Lt. Dijas in Illisia (E8) to give the above items and receive reward (c).
13. Talk to Major Cheryl in Illisia (D8).

Prerequisites: Completed the quest above.
Reward: Elemental Jewel x2, Master G EXP Card x7, Expert Training Card x5.

1. Talk to Tools Merchant Neely in Illisia (H7).
2. Collect Magical Bone Piece (quest item) x1 by killing Chaos Decaravia (25% or 100%) in Castilla Mine (Normal or Hard) mission.
3. Collect Armor Piece of Ancient General (quest item) x1 by killing Tempest (25% or 100%) in Castilla Relic (Normal or Hard) mission.
• In v27.73.23, re-entry into Castilla Relic is similar to Castilla Mine as mentioned in the previous quest, except that it requires Ancient Gold Relic instead of Ancient Relic.
4. Collect Ring of Queen of Valkyries (quest item) x1 by killing Queen of Valkyries (25% or 100%) in Castilla Tower of Chaos (Normal or Hard) mission.
• In v27.73.23, re-entry into Tower of Chaos is similar to Castilla Mine as mentioned in the previous quest, except that it requires Ancient Gold Relic instead of Ancient Relic.
5. Talk to Tools Merchant Neely in Illisia (H7) to give the above items and receive reward.

[135][The Symbol of the Titan] La Parcie Mordon
Prerequisites: Completed the quest above.
Reward: Elemental Jewel x1, Master G EXP Card x3, Expert Training Card x3.

1. Start a quest dialogue in Imperium Rex (F11).
2. Start a non-combat mission ("La Parcie Mordon") in Imperium Rex (F5/G5).
3. Start a combat mission ("Battle, Kranus", 10 minutes) in Imperium Rex (F3).
• Reduce Kranus (lifeless) to 50% HP. Kael will fight for you.
• Tip: Despite how he looks, Kranus has low DEF and high RES, so consider using melee or shooting characters against him.
4. Start a quest dialogue in Imperium Rex (F11).
5. Talk to Lyndell in Illisia (E5). 
6. Collect Pure Otite x20.
• Each Cursed Undead Hunt quest in Los Toldos costs 100 Shiny Crystals and yields 1-5 Pure Otites.
7. Talk to Lyndell in Illisia (E5) to give the above items and receive reward.
8. Collect Corazon Crystal (quest item) x10 by killing Nepthys (100%) in Time Piece Nephthys (Normal or Broken) mission, Talos of Corazon (100%) in Talos (Expert/Master/High Master) mission, or Twin Pleasure/Sensual Nephthys (100%) in Lucifer Basement Single Cortes (Rank 5) mission.

1. Start a combat mission ("Evora vs. Patrician", 90 minutes) in Imperium Rex (F11).
•  Survive the Vanguards' (human) attacks for 3 minutes.
• Tip: Don't bother fighting them as they have a lot of hit points.
• Tip: They deal physical damage, so you can use Protection Field skill if you do not want to use a tanker (e.g. Sirius). Alternatively, just run away deeper into the map and lead them in circles.
2. Start a quest dialogue in Imperium Rex (F8/G8).

• Defeat Kranus (lifeless). 
• Many NPC will fight for you, including Leona, Lynn, Amy, Dietrich, Joshua, Kael, Monblant Bethel, Evora soldiers, and Patrician soldiers.
• Note: After the mission, you will be moved to Imperium Rex (G4).

• Note: After the mission, you will be moved to Imperium Rex (G4).
3. Talk to Kael in Imperium Rex (G3) to give Corazon Crystals (quest item) and receive reward (b).
4. Talk to Dietrich in Illisia (E7) for reward (c).

[135][The Symbol of the Titan] Black Cat
Prerequisites: Completed the quests above.

1. Start a non-combat mission ("Two-Faced Black Cat") by moving to Illisia.
• Re-enter Illisia from barracks or move to Royal Road and return.

You may now create combined artifacts which merged the properties of 2 selected Kielce artifacts. For example, Dark Heart of Selene combines the effects of Elite Selene's Heart (damage received -10%) and Elite Black Rose (skill damage -10%).

This scenario is followed by The Symphonia Final Episode and Recruit Kael quests.
