Infinite Challenge
This mission was added in v21.53.30 . Along with Viron Clock Tower and Fury Montoro, this is one of the missions that drop Expert Enchantment Chips.
Updated roulette tables for v22.19.56.
Mission Information
Location: Bounty Hunter's Guild
Frequency: 5/day
Participants: 1
Duration: 10 minutes
Entry Cost: None
Requirement: None
The first time you do this mission, it will be Round 1. Each time you clear the mission, the round number goes up by +1. If you fail the mission, you may redo the same round until you reach the daily frequency limit (5/day).
If the mission becomes too difficult, you may choose to reset to Round 1 by paying 50 Shiny Crystals per round completed so far. For example, if you have completed 40 rounds, you may reset to Round 1 by paying 2,000 (50x40) Shiny Crystals. The reset option is available only after completing at least 10 rounds.
Mission Overview
The mission is straight-forward. Kill the boss monster. Unlike the other Bounty Hunter's Guild missions, there are no regular monsters, and you do not need to run a long distance to reach the boss.
When you enter the mission, quickly move away to avoid attracting the monster's attention, so you can buff up and equip the proper weapons after checking the monster's statistics (Alt + Left Click). This is important for maps where the boss spawns near your start point. These maps include Joaquin Barrier Siege, Inside the Crater, Novia's Parlor, and Silent Maze Sanctuary.
The monster race is random, so make sure your attackers have a set of racial weapons. At high levels, magic attackers may be better than shooting/melee attackers, since the monster's RES does not increase as fast as its DEF. If the mission gets too difficult, consider bringing along a tank (e.g. Coimbra Trooper or Sirius), especially for Round 35+. For Round 41+, success often depends on luck (i.e. boss type and bonus skills), so you may take 2-3 attempts to clear one round.
Monster Type & Race
The boss type, boss race, and map is randomly determined. There are 35 possible monster types and 16 possible mission maps.
Monster type determines its base ATK and its skills. Each boss monster has skills normally associated with its type. For example, Lava Leaf can buff itself to increase DEF or RES, similar to the Lava Leaf in Gate of Flame mission. Some boss types you need to take note of:
The monster types include:
Level & Statistics
The boss starts at Lv.101 for Round 1, increasing level by +1 per round thereafter. Its other statistics also increase according to a specific progression.
Bonus Skills
In addition to its standard skills (based on boss type), the boss monster can also use up to 4 random skills specifically designed for Infinite Challenge. These include:
Reward
The boss monster will drop 5 Enchantment Chips, whose level depends on the round level.
The roulette will start immediately upon the death of the boss monster.
Since v22.02.97 , every 10 rounds (up to Round 40+) use a different roulette table. Bonus roulette costs 1,000,000 Vis for Round 1-10, 2,000,000 Vis for Round 11-20, and 3,000,000 Vis for Round 21+. The following updated roulette table is taken from American game client (v22.19.56).
Before v22.02.97 , the roulette is fixed regardless of round level. The is no bonus roulette. The following roulette table is taken from American game client (v21.77.84).
