Time Piece - Death Wraith
Introduced in v9.5, all Time Piece (aka Time Paradox) missions come in 2 versions - normal and broken. You can select which type in the room creation window. Broken Time Piece mission is easier, but rewards less crystals from its roulette. This raid mission is mainly for collecting Strata Devil Weapon materials and for making Evil Weapons (ATK Rating 34) - sword, polearm, javelin, or rapier.
Mission Information
Location: Viron (E7)
Frequency: 2/day
Duration: 60 minutes
Participants: 1-12
Entry Cost: Free (1/day), 200 Shiny Crystals (2/day)
Requirement: Must have [Time Crystal] Death Wraith quest to receive roulette reward
In v23.63.43, you can redo the mission by paying 200 Shiny Crystals. The maximum number of participants for Time Piece missions was reduced from 24 to 12.
A tank is recommended. As the bosses have super low DEF and high RES, shooters are recommended as damage dealers. A dispel team is optional, but helpful when doing normal version.
This is one raid whereby the faster you can kill (i.e. devices), the easier the bosses are to kill. The boss statistics below are taken from broken and normal missions with a squad of 8 members.
1. Large Lust Devices
There are 6 Large Lust Devices on each side of this hexagonal map. Each device has a green gauge bar. As the bar fills up, the boss that it spawns will become more powerful in terms of level, HP, ATK Rating, ATK, and DEF Rating. When the device is destroyed, the associated boss will appear in its spot. If the devices are left alone for too long, the bars will change color and eventually the bosses will all appear with optimal statistics.
2. Death Wraiths
When you begin the mission, you appear directly next to a Large Lust Device. Attack this particular device. As the device is nearly destroyed, most attackers should move away to a safe distance, leaving one or two attackers to destroy it. The tank (in MCC1 individual mode) should stay near the device, and use [Provoke] a few times when Blue Death Wraith appears. Once its attention is secured, the tank can run around the map in circles, while the attackers gather in the middle of the map and hit it. The tank has to keep moving, so that the boss cannot get close enough to use its area skill.
Once Blue Death Wraith is dead, move on to destroy the next Large Lust Device in clock-wise direction. This will spawn Red Death Wraith. Proceed to kite it as above.
Move on to the next device in clock-wise direction to spawn Black Death Wraith. Simply repeat the same process. If you are just collecting Strata Devil Weapon materials, you can leave the mission at this point.
3. Misc. Bosses
For the remaining bosses, the tank do not need to "kite" them, and can simply stay in one spot, while the attackers hit them from behind. Again, moving in clock-wise direction, the 4th device will spawn Lust Witch. You can either kite her using a shooter (repeated hit-and-run) or tank her normally. Lust Witch's [Unholy Shower] skill is magic-based, so if not kiting, keep her under [Whole Cancellation] or have the tank run out of the area effect when she starts to cast.
The 5th device will spawn Wrath Devil. It can inflict [Burn] status. There is no need to kite him.
The 6th device will spawn Mutated Frogfish. It can inflict [Poison] status, which can be removed by [Recover] skill. It changes target frequently, so the tank needs to stay close and spam [Provoke] skill.
The directions above are done in that order, as Death Wraiths are the hardest bosses to kill in this mission. So you should kill them as soon as possible while they are still weak. If for some reason you lose your sense of direction and do not know which device to attack next (as this mission has no mini-map), you can use any area target skill to bring up the area effect circle (see screenshot below).
The circle design is fixed regardless of your camera angle. In the middle of the star, there is always a line of "text" which will be above the "key" symbol when you are facing North. As indicated on the map above, the first device (Blue Death Wraith) is on the Western side of the hexagonal map. Start with that device and go to the next one in clock-wise direction. You can use this to figure out directions in any other map (e.g. Lightning Gate - The Silent Maze) as well.
Reward
Each Death Wraith will always drop 1 of each Death Wraith's Strata Devil Weapon materials (e.g. Teeth of Death Wraith). The last boss will also drop White Gold Bars, Lv.92/96/100/Veteran Enchantment Chips, Lv.92 Elite Equipment, Le Noir, Pieces of Naraka, Elite Trump Weapon (rare), and Lv.100 Elite Weapon (rare). The roulette will spin immediately upon the death of all 6 bosses for players with [Time Crystal] Death Wraith quest. Bonus roulette costs 1,500,000 Vis.
In v23.63.43, each boss (including Lust Witch, etc.) drops only 1 Leg, Nail, Teeth, and Crystal of Death Wraith. Once all the bosses are dead, roulette chest will appear in the middle of the room. Broken Time Piece mission rewards 1-4 Time Crystals, while normal Time Piece mission rewards 2-8 Time Crystals. Portable Ancient Star Orb Box has also been removed from the roulette. The amount of Time Crystals required to make Evil Weapon has been reduced from 600 to 150. Bonus roulette still costs 1,500,000 Vis.
