The Costume Synthesizer consumes 1 Sewing Kit to exchange 2 costumes (or hats) for a random costume, including those that are featured in web games like Magic Circle. You can also get weapon costumes rarely. See Bahia Costume Synthesization Notes.

For interested players, see 체험 그라 현장, 리뉴얼된 아르센 단장의 비밀 금고 미션 for Arsene's Secret Vault (v9.10.1). Nobody translated this yet. It is quite confusing to understand the article without having to actually try out the mission itself. Since each "step" has 2 rooms (1 central + 1 side), it isn't very clear which room is which...

Imperial Wheel V (Japan) has been updated for June 2012. See the official notices インペリアルホイールV開催! and GMガイズの新要素ご紹介コーナー.

IAHGames should be updating Granado Espada to v10.6 this week, probably on June 21 during the weekly maintenance. [Source] The pre-release download links for patch and full client are available here.

After patch, only Grandies, Ion, Vincent, and Cadet Adriana will be available. The other 5 characters - Cruz, Adriana, Elisa, Cadet Elisa, and Veatrice - will be locked away until further notice. [Source] See the mini-site - Rise & Fall, Montoro Finale and v10.6 Unofficial List of Updates. See also Taiwan GE v10.6.0 Update.

Character Database v10.5.1 can still be used for this update, as there is no further change to characters, stances, and skills in v10.5.2, v10.6.0, and v10.6.1.

Mufasar mission will be revised in v9.17.7. See Play Forum article - 오쿨타, 수장의 방 미션 - 새로운 득템의 장!. The main changes from the last revision (v5.x) are the frequency (1/week instead of timer-based) and roulette reward (instead of scripted drops). Since the better rewards are now roulette-based, it may be more efficient to do in a group instead of a solo mission.

Mufasar Mission (v9.17.7)
Duration: 120 minutes
Frequency: 1/week
Participants: 1-30 families (MCC3)
Entry Cost: 1 Ancient Rune - Bin
Location: Occulta Fortress (F2/G2)

To get to the mission lobby, you must pass through 2 gates inside Occulta Fortress. The first gate (D6) requires Ancient Rune - Ti, Te, Ar, and An (1 each) to open. The second gate (F3/G3) requires 1 Key - Occulta General's Room instead. Both gates stay open for about 10 minutes. Go in a group, so that you can share the cost of opening the gates.

Inside the lobby room, you may use Ancient Rune - Ti, Te, Ar, and An (1 each) on the device at the West side. This will summon 1-3 Kobold Generals at the North, South, and East sides of the room. Kobold General drops Ancient Rune - Bin and sometimes Elite Le Blanc Recipe. The device at the North side will open the mission lobby for 1 Ancient Rune - Bin per family.

When mission starts, quickly move up to the platform at F5/G5. Ignore the rows of Dullahan monsters along the way. Wait for NPC Ania to walk up to the platform. Once she reaches there, she will start talking, then Mufasar will appear. This usually takes about 3 minutes (i.e. time left = 117 minutes), so buff up before then.

Mufasar • Lv.128 Human • Heavy Armor • None • Medium
Max HP 30,205,440 • AR 70 • ATK 3241 • DR 66 • DEF 266
Penetration 100 • Immunity 0 • Specific Penetration 0
RES • Fire 70, Ice 70, Lightning 50, Mental 80
Drops • Le Noir, Lv.100 Weapon/Armor, Lv.92 Elite Armor Recipe, Le Noir Recipe

Mufasar has several area skills, which can inflict [Burn], [Freeze] and [Confusion] status. Mufasar can also levitate, so make sure you have range/magic characters to take him down. Do NOT go down from the platform, as when Mufasar appears, the Dullahan monsters below will become hostile.

After some time, he will also summon Dominator. If more players participate, Mufasar may die before he can summon. Dominator has 3 knock-down skills - two are area effects, while the other is a bull rush charge. There is no need to kill Dominator. If necessary, use a fighter on [Crusader] stance to provoke and tank it on the stairs, while other characters can concentrate on Mufasar.

Dominator • Lv.128 Daemon • Heavy Armor • None • Large
Max HP 13,214,880 • AR 69 • ATK 8076 • DR 66 • DEF 244
Penetration 100 • Immunity 0 • Specific Penetration 0
RES • Fire 50, Ice 70, Lightning 70, Mental 75

Mufasar Roulette (Bonus = 5,000,000 Vis)
  • Recipe - Elite Le Noir
  • Recipe - Magic Boots/Gloves/Belts
  • Recipe - Artisan's Boots/Gloves/Belts
  • Kobold/Werebear/Dullahan Weapons
  • Lv.100 Weapons/Armors
  • Elite Le Noir
  • Elite Le Blanc

  • Lv.92 Elite Armors
  • Gold/Silver Earrings
  • Cut RES Necklaces
  • 2 Pure Gold Bars (!!)
  • Elemental Jewel
  • Honor Card C

Aria Granado Espada (private server) has officially launched. The base rates are set to x10 for EXP, Stance EXP, and Drops. Their current game client is built from IAHGames (Singapore) client. Some basic information...

Game Version: 8.5
Language: English
No. of Servers: 1 - AriaGaming (Baron-Enabled)
Server Time Zone: GMT+1
X-Trap Version: None
Initial Barrack Slots: 4
No. of Channels: 1
Combat/Stance EXP: x10
Drop Rate: x10

The server was in beta for the past weeks. I didn't want to review it then, since beta is supposed to be somewhat buggy and problematic. Now, it has officially launched, let's take a look at it while awesome G1 is having power outage and maintenance. Here are some issues I noticed.

Different Password: The client uses different password for encrypting the game files. [Source] This means that you cannot easily replace files, such as sound effects (voice pack) file, from other servers. So you cannot just change the character voices to Japanese or Korean by replacing files. I have no idea why they bother to mess with the password. Don't try to fix what is not broken.

Inefficient Patcher: Apparently, the patcher needs to replace entire .ipf files instead of just adding the new files to them. [Source] Maybe they cannot use the official patcher because they changed the password encryption?

Default Window Positions: By default, the client from the installer will have windows set too far out of the commonly used resolutions. You simply cannot see the inventory even when it is opened. They should have fixed useruiposition.xml file before packing the live installer, instead of making every single player fix it with every installation. You can just copy the file from your other game client (e.g. sGE) over instead.

English Please: Compared to beta client, there are less non-English texts and less grammatical errors. But there are still some left over.

IES Tip Error: Whenever you move close to a help-related NPC, there will be a string of IES errors regarding Tip data-table.

Cash Shop: The cash shop system is not finalized. It seems that you may eventually be able to get Gold for voting or donation. Also, no premium character (e.g. Asoka) at the moment.

Mission Room Error: Currently, there is an error when trying to create mission rooms, including quest missions.

Scarlet Underground Access: You do not need to complete Bahama quest scenario to move into Reboldeaux Scarlet Underground. Good for Arsene Circus starters (tip: use Invisible Stalker for low-level characters) or Secret Guarding in Errac.

Active Players - To Migrate Or Not To Migrate?
Is there any reason for existing players of other servers to switch over to Aria? Most active players would have sets of AR/DR 32-33 equipment with family level 50+. Even with x10 rates, it will still take a long time to rebuild the family back up to level 50+ from scratch. Also, note that most official servers had instant-master events, such as Rise of the Masters!. Not to mention the frustrating process of upgrading, enchanting, and socketing their sets of racial weapons, armors, and accessories.

IAHGames servers are currently at v9.5, and will update to v10 soon. So why play a buggy, lower version on a less stable server with a more restrictive client (see note on password above) just to rebuild your family and equipment from scratch with only x10 rates? Maybe it will help for new players, but it probably won't attract players with established families in other servers at this point.

A private server has to offer things that are difficult or costly to acquire in the official servers, otherwise what's the point of playing in a private server? Frustrations with official servers usually concern the following:
  1. Cash Shop-Related Randomness, e.g. gambling boxes/web games, upgrading, enchanting, opening sockets.
  2. Crap Raid Loot, e.g. why pay 5m vis in Joaquin Underground Prison mission for bonus roulette to get 1 Portable Ancient Star Orb Box?
  3. Ridiculously Hard-To-Get Items, e.g. 200 Devil's Dreams per weapon... For v8.5, that is nonsense.
  4. Non-Tradable Items, e.g. some character cards, Mercenaries Warrants...
If Aria really wants to encourage server migration of active players, these are things that they need to look into, i.e. elevating players' frustrations with the official servers.

You may discuss this further in their forum topic - Is this server worth playing?.
