Run along. There's nothing to see here.   ♥

As mentioned previously here, Sword 2: Renaissance will be delayed, tentatively to around November 18, 2010. This delay will also push the version further to v5.0.23 instead. See Book of Wind: Patch Notes for more details.

Slight update. It appears we'll be updating to 5.0.23 instead of 5.0.3. We'll keep you posted but since we need to re-translate things we're looking at moving further than originally anticipated. [Source]

The reason for the move is to get several major server side changes for Arena PvP. [Source]

I DO KNOW that you should expect the PvP balancing to be in this patch. That was one thing IMC was very worried about and helped to drive the decision to take release this change. [...] All in all, Renaissance is all about the Cross world Arenas and we want them to go off without too much of a hitch. [Source]

Finally, once Renaissance is live we are planning to "change" what it means to be Veteran. I can't go into too much detail but if you are "active" in a month we'll be rewarding you just for logging in. If you are "premium" in a month you'll get additional rewards. All that is over and above the regular promotions and the like. [Source]

There are also some more information about upcoming changes to the cash shop. I will just summarize the points below. All information are tentative, and may be subject to change at a later date. See Neume's posts in New Standard (Leveling) Budget for details.
  1. Explorer Packs (aka Home Premium Service) may be removed and added to gold packages. So when you buy gold, you will get one for 30 days.
  2. There will be one last set of costume boxes (probably referring to Andre's Wardrobe) before changing to a new system with cheaper boxes.
  3. Majority of the items in Package tab of the cash shop will be removed, leaving just a few items, such as Level Pack (for fast leveling), +1 Upgrade Pack, and Arena Pack (a cross between current PvP Pack and Wheel of Destiny Pack).
  4. Master Battle Pack (includes 1-day Combat/Tactics/Survival Manuals) will stay and be reduced in price (currently 250 Gold).
  5. A Crafting Pack will be added, possibly including Socket Flux, Enchantment Chips, Enchant Boosters, Upgrade Accelerators, and Lacquers.
  6. All the permanent costumes will be removed from cash shop, and re-introduced in a "limited time only" fashion.
  7. Mysterious Powder will be available in bundles of 10 or 20, at even lower prices.
