GE Japan File Archive

As GE Japan has ended its game service, there will be no further update from Japan.

I have created an archive for its game client, containing extracted files from:

• ai.ipf
• animation.ipf*
• char_hi.ipf*
• char_texture.ipf*
• dictionary.ipf
• font.ipf
• ies.ipf
• item_hi.ipf*
• item_texture.ipf*
• se.ipf
• shared.ipf
• ui.ipf
• xml.ipf

Extracted files for those marked with an asterisk (*) above have duplicated files removed in order to reduce file size. The duplicated files already exist in T3Fun game client (v30.93.37). Other regional clients have higher versions, so they should have those files as well.

The remaining files include Japan-exclusive costumes and items. You can mess around with them. See Localize Mod: Change Appearances and Mod: MSG Barrol To Black Asoka for examples. You can use 3D Object Converter to view the model (*.lma) files.

The client included characters up to Ornella, Khanna, Charlotte, Cadet Romina, and Hildegard. Since the client does not include newer characters like Freya, you must add the Japanese sounds to the default sounds. Following these steps:

1. Download JapanGEArchive_v312063.7z (812 MB) from MEGA 🔗 (Misc folder).
2. Extract JapanGEArchive_v312063.7z into the main game folder using 7-Zip 🔗 or similar software. It contains some files also used by GE Tools, but it doesn't matter whether you overwrite existing files or not since they are identical.
• Standalone Client: C:\Program Files (x86)\Granado Espada
• Steam Client: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Granado Espada For SEA
3. Double-click on compile_jap_sfx.bat within tools folder to replace default sounds with Japanese sounds. Skip this step if you are not changing sounds.

If you wish, you may also mix English sound files from IAHGames game client by manually copying the relevant files. You can download these files from IAHGames GE File Archive.
