Granado Espada (Japan) End of Service
After almost 14 years, Granado Espada (Japan) will be ending its service on March 02, 2020.
Game accounts can be transferred to IMC's Steam server for Granado Espada from March 05 to June 03, 2020. All game data will be carried over except for cash shop credits, which will be refunded.
The notice was released on Feb 05. I couldn't be bothered to change proxy to check the website until now.Anyway, I don't know if the customized items for Japan will retain their original states or if they would be reverted back to international standards. Maybe they will put all the Japanese accounts in a new server, separated from the existing ones.
If you want Japanese sound effects, now is the time to get it. Download, install, and update the client before they become offline. See Guide To Granado Espada (Japan) for how to do so. (Do not use the direct download installer for v19.08.48 as it is too old.)
Update: The Japan server 🔗 for Steam is different from the existing SEA server 🔗. IF you want the sound effects, see GE Japan File Archive.

ReplyDeleteI think the worriesome part is that there might not be anymore japanese-or fan-related content popping up to enrich the game atmosphere, giving us players some variety. Its not at all lost, but still closure always depressing.... Damn, so many years. Really hope theres no bad omen to closing SEA. JGE players are lucky to have an offer for server transfer, something SGE players never had the chance to do. I look forward to a bigger populace. Thanks for all your news & updates here :)
