Castilla Tower of Chaos
Castilla Tower of Chaos mission was first introduced in v5.0, featuring Greek Croma recipes. This mission is a landmark in the game for being the first to introduce the use of continuous [Whole Cancellation] debuff and relayed [Invulnerable] chain.
This mission is needed for Castilla Episode 3 scenario and Selva's Bristia Arm Shield quests. Luciano in Castilla Base 1 (H3) also offers 6 daily monster hunt quests to kill the bosses in Tower of Chaos, rewarding random amount of Veteran Enchantment Chips. The first time you enter this mission, you will be given [Castilla Tower of Chaos Explorer] medal, available in Medals window (Ctrl + L).
This mission is also a good place for active character leveling, since the monsters give a good amount of EXP. However, this will be reduced in v21.70.04 .
The roulette tables below are based on American game client (v21.07.77).

Moving from Castilla Base 1 to Castilla Temple will cost 2 Ancient Relic Pieces, usable upon completion of Castilla Episode 2 scenario. Alternatively, you can move to Castilla Temple automatically by completing Castilla Relics mission.
TEAM SETUP
A standard squad usually consists of:
RAID PROCESS
For a mission named Tower of Chaos, it is actually very systematic, and un-chaotic. Simply kill the waiting boss in each room in order to move on to the next.
When a room is cleared by killing the boss, a zone notice will say: Mission duration expanded by 15 minutes. Each boss will drop a standard pile of items - Mega Quartz, Mega Etretanium, Mega Aidanium, Mega Ionium, Mega Talt, Cast Iron, and Composite Steel. It may also drop Sun Stone, Moon Stone, Lv.100 Enchantment Chip(s), Veteran Enchantment Chip(s), Bellem's Box, etc.
For a squad raid, the first few monsters can easily be done without much effort. As usual, the tank provokes the boss, while others attack from behind. The dispel team starts using [Whole Cancellation] skills usually from either Chaos Einschiever (for weak squad) or Jelly Fish (for strong squad).
This guide will assume you are solo-raiding until Beholder, and squad-raiding Jelly Fish and beyond. Personally, I find Jelly Fish and beyond to be more trouble than they are worth for solo raids. It is possible to solo-raid the later bosses as well, but you probably need to use some expensive potions (Steroid, Triumph Filler, Status Ampule, Soul Crystal, etc.).
But if you have to use these expensive items, then you might as well don't solo. The reason is simple - the loot might not even be worth the amount you spend on those potions. If you are solo-raiding for loot, you need to prioritize cost efficiency. This is true for a lot of missions, like solo-raiding Time Paradox missions.
1. CHAOS ELNUGAD & ELBRID
The 1st room contains 2 bosses. (The 2 bosses count as "one" boss.) You must kill them together, or else the boss which died first will reappear shortly after. They deal melee damage, and can inflict [Freeze] status. They have 2 skills, which deal melee damage and knock down in a small circle.
When the 2nd boss dies, it will drop the standard items. (The 1st boss do not drop anything, and will not increase mission duration.)
2. GRIEF
The 2nd room contains Chaos Elnugad and Chaos Elbrid again, but slightly more powerful than before. Kill them together like the previous pair. The last to die will drop the standard items.
Immediately after both are dead, Grief will appear in the middle of the room. If you do not wish to engage Grief immediately, you can lure Chaos Elnugad and Chaos Elbrid into the corridor before killing them.
Grief deals melee damage, and can inflict [Freeze] status. Grief has the same 2 skills as Chaos Elnugad/Elbrid. At 50% HP, Grief will grow bigger, and his ATK will increase. At 25% HP, he will grow even bigger, increasing his ATK again. When it dies, it will also drop the standard items.
3. CHAOS EINSCHIEVER
Chaos Einschiever (aka Einwind) deals magic damage for normal attacks, and can inflict [Shock] status. It is especially vulnerable to fire damage.
Chaos Einschiever has 4 skills. [Chain Lightning] deals lightning damage to all enemies close to each other and can inflict [Shock] status. [Electro Shock] deals melee damage in a large circle, and can inflict [Enervation] status. It can also use [Energy Charge] skill to heal itself, or [Enchanted Arm] buff to increase its lightning damage.
In addition to the standard drops, this boss can also drop skill rings for Beatrice's [Tempest] stance at 1/50 rate.
4. CHAOS DOMINATOR
Chaos Dominator's normal attacks deal melee damage, and can inflict [Shock] status.
Chaos Dominator has 4 skills. It can use [Bull Fight] to charge forward pass its target, dealing melee damage and inflicting [Stun] status. [Gravity] deals melee damage in an area, and can inflict [Slow] status. [Diastropism] deals melee damage in an area, and can inflict [Enervation] status. It can also use [Derangement] buff to increase its ATK Speed and Movement Speed.
After Chaos Dominator dies, a roulette chest will appear, along with the standard item drops. Bonus roulette costs 3,000,000 Vis.
5. ROBOT ROOM
There is no boss in this room. Talk to the NPC robot. It will ask you if you want to stop exploration or continue exploration.
If you choose to continue exploration, the NPC robot will vanish, and Cruise will appear. Cruise will offer to help you skip the next 2 bosses (Tetra Pod and Tesla Coil) and bring you to Beholder instead. Accepting his offer will cost 10 Ancient Gold Relics.
If you choose to stop exploration, the NPC robot will offer to help. If you refuse its help and insists on stopping, the mission will end. If you accept its help, 16 NPC robots will appear. Each will grant a random Chaos-type buff at the cost of 1 Ancient Relic, and then disappear. The various Chaos-type buffs do not stack with each other. The most powerful buff is [Chaos Festival], which provides HP Recovery +600, ATK Rating +5, DEF Rating +5, and ATK +50%.
The usual choice by raiders is to select [Stop Exploration], then followed by [I Want Help] options.
There is also an Ancient Relic Exchanger here. You can exchange 3 Ancient Relic Pieces for 1 Ancient Relic (or other random items) at the cost of 150,000 Vis. Exchanging Ancient Gold Relic Pieces will cost 450,000 Vis.
6. TETRA POD
Tetra Pod's normal attacks deal melee damage, and can inflict [Burn] status. Tetra Pod has 2 melee damage skills, which can inflict [Burn] status. It also has 2 magic damage skills, which can inflict [Confusion] or [Fear] status.
There are 3 Eggs in this room. After some time, each Egg will hatch into 3 Tetra Pod clones. You can drop an Ancient Relic on the Egg to delay hatching. Doing so too often, however, can cause the Egg to hatch immediately. The clones can inflict [Burn] status.
The 9 Tetra Pod clones give a lot of EXP. Each clone can give EXP equivalent to approximately 9-10% of a Master level (MCC1). If you are solo raiding, you can lure Tetra Pod out of its room to avoid the clones while killing it. Then, decide on which character you want to level, and remove armors for the other 2 characters to let them die. This will allow you to use 1 character (MCC1) to kill the clones for fast EXP. However, this will be reduced in v21.70.04 .
7. TESLA COIL
Tesla Coil's normal attacks deal magic damage, and can inflict [Stun] status. It has 3 magic damage skills which can inflict [Shock] status. It also has 1 melee damage skill, which inflicts [Stun] status.
When Tesla Coil reaches 50% HP, it will summon Tesla Coil clones, and its size will shrink somewhat. Use area attacks to kill the clones as soon as possible, since they can inflict [Stun] status. When Tesla Coil reaches 25% HP, it will summon Tesla Coil clones again, and its size will shrink down to the same size as its minions.
Note: The monster name is Tesla Coil, not "Tesra Coil". A tesla coil is an electrical resonant transformer circuit, used to produce high-voltage alternating-current electricity. Engrish!
8. BEHOLDER
Beholder's normal attacks deal melee damage, and can inflict [Freeze] status. Use [Recover] skill to remove the status. This boss has 3 magic damage skills which can inflict [Burn], [Shock], or [Fear] status. It also has 1 melee damage skill which inflicts [Stun] status.
After Beholder dies, a roulette chest will appear, along with the standard item drops. Bonus roulette costs 3,500,000 Vis.
9. JELLY FISH
Jelly Fish's normal attacks deal magic damage, and can inflict [Freeze] status. Its skills are all magic-based, and can inflict [Shock], [Burn], or [Confusion] status.
Generally, the squad will use Invulnerable Tank method (see below) to kill Jelly Fish. It is also possible to kite Jelly Fish and Hydro Bomber, as seen in the embedded video below.
10. HYDRO BOMBER
Hydro Bomber's normal attacks deal magic damage, and can inflict [Freeze] status. Its skills are all magic-based, and can inflict [Burn], [Freeze], or [Shock] status. Use Invulnerable Tank method (see above) for the squad to kill it.
11. LIGHT GEMINI
Light Gemini's normal attacks deal magic damage, and can inflict [Stun] status. Its skills are all magic-based, and can inflict [Shock] or [Burn] status. Use Invulnerable Tank method (see above) for the squad to kill it.
12. DARK GEMINI
Dark Gemini's normal attacks deal magic damage, and can inflict [Stun] status. Its skills are all magic-based, and can inflict [Shock] or [Burn] status. Use Invulnerable Tank method (see above) for the squad to kill it.
After Dark Gemini dies, a roulette chest will appear, along with the standard item drops. Bonus roulette costs 4,000,000 Vis.
13. VALKYRIE GUARDIAN
Valkyrie Guardian's normal attacks deal magic damage, and can inflict [Freeze] status. She can cast a variety of skills, similar to those found in [Occult Magic] stance, such as [Ice Vrille] and [Abyss Flare]. Use Invulnerable Tank method (see above) for the squad to kill it.
When reduced to 75% HP, Valkyrie Guardian will transform into its melee form, and say: These little children are getting on my nerves!! More Glacial Valkyries will appear.
Transformed Valkyrie Guardian's normal attacks deal melee damage, and can inflict [Shock] status. She can use various skills, such as [Carnage] from [Hanging Guard] stance.
If there is a family on the final quest (Tower of Chaos 4) of Castilla Episode 3 scenario, Adriana will appear with Luciano and 2nd Fleet Soldiers when Valkyrie Guardian reaches 60% HP. More Glacial Valkyries will appear, but the NPC soldiers will help you to fight them.
When reduced to 50% HP or lower, Valkyrie Guardian will disappear in a cut-scene, and say: You will regret seeing my true colors. The NPC robot will appear again in the middle of the room. Talk to it, and it will ask if you want to continue or stop.
If you choose to continue, the squad will be moved to the final room to face the Queen of Valkyrie.
If you choose to stop, it will offer to help. If you accept its help, 12 NPC robots will appear to grant a random Chaos buff as before, but at the cost of 3 Ancient Relics each. You can claim the Chaos-type buff before going on to face the final boss. If you refuse its help and insist on stopping, the mission will end here.
Note: You used to be able to keep spending relics on any robot until you get the desired buff. Since v18.85.13 , the robots will disappear after giving one random buff.
14. QUEEN OF VALKYRIE
Queen of Valkyrie waits near the middle of the room. Her normal attacks deal magic damage, and can inflict [Chaos] status, which turns the character "red" (i.e. can be attacked by other players).
Queen of Valkyrie has 4 offensive skills. [Chaotic Ball/Death/Fury] skills deal magic damage, and can inflict [Chaos] status. [Chaotic Hack] skill deals melee damage, and can inflict [Shock] status.
When Queen of Valkyrie is dead, it will drop the standard items, and a roulette chest. Bonus roulette costs 5,000,000 Vis.

- Tank Team = Crusader (e.g. Fighter, Coimbra Trooper) + 2 [Invulnerable] skill users (e.g. Emilia, Wizard)
- Dispel Team = 3 [Whole Cancellation] and [Invulnerable] skill users (e.g. Emilia, Wizard)
- Buff Team = Rio + Grace + Lorch or Karjalainen
- Debuff Team = Lisa + Rascel + Battle Smith Idge
- Attack Teams = Demon/Lifeless weapons, preferably magic-based
Squad Raid Method: Continuous Whole Cancellation
See the embedded video below for a guide on playing the role of a dispel team. [Whole Cancellation] is used to prevent the boss from using skills (usually large area skills that can kill off the attackers).
The basic idea is to use 3 characters to cast Lv.12 [Whole Cancellation] skills. The next skill should be cast when the previous skill's cool-down reaches 33% done, i.e. 1/3 x 50 = 16.7 seconds. Using the skill icon as a guide (see picture on the right), cast when the previous skill's cool-down indicator touches the hot-key alphabet (T/G/B).
Why not use [Eraser] skill? The main reason is because [Telekinesis] stance was introduced much later, so most players already have multiple [Whole Cancellation] rings, but no [Eraser] ring. (You should not be using these skills at Lv.10.) While [Eraser] allows you to cast from a safe distance, it also has a longer (+10 seconds) cool-down.
In between cool-downs, the dispel team can also try to inflict [Blood Curse] or [Improved Stone Disease] status on the boss.
Also, the dispel team should always switch to defensive family attributes (Ctrl + T), utilizing Monster Damage Reduction, HP Boost, Skill Evasion, etc. A dispel team is not an attacker; do not stay in DPS setting.

4. CHAOS DOMINATOR

Immunity 0 • RES - Fire 50, Ice 70, Lightning 70, Mental 75
Chaos Dominator has 4 skills. It can use [Bull Fight] to charge forward pass its target, dealing melee damage and inflicting [Stun] status. [Gravity] deals melee damage in an area, and can inflict [Slow] status. [Diastropism] deals melee damage in an area, and can inflict [Enervation] status. It can also use [Derangement] buff to increase its ATK Speed and Movement Speed.
Solo Raid Method: Surviving Shock
Some players may have problem getting pass Chaos Dominator on solo runs, mainly due to its frequent [Shock] status and its melee damage. There are several ways to deal with this.
Brunie's Lv.11 [Wanted Action] skill makes her immune to abnormal status, including [Shock]. It lasts for 110 seconds, and has a cool-down of 60 seconds. She can thus tank Chaos Dominator by spamming skills to secure hostility. The other attackers should avoid using too much skills.
Ion's Lv.11 [Frost Shield] skill has similar effect. However, it lasts for only 32 seconds, and has a cool-down of 60 seconds. This means 50% of the time Ion will be vulnerable, so you cannot afford to drag the fight for too long.
Veronif's [Alchemy] skill can remove [Shock] status for all characters within 30m of herself. It has 7 second cool-down. The boss can sometimes inflict [Shock] status repeatedly though.
Elisa's [Deresist] skill can also remove [Shock] status for all characters within 15m of herself. However, it has a cool-down of 15 seconds, which may be too long to be useful. This is a shame, since Elisa's exclusive stance is supposed to deal with abnormal statuses.
Emilia's [Ignore Harm] skill grants 50% chance to be immune to abnormal status. You can use this together with Ion, Elisa, or Veronif. Brunie and Viki would not need this.
Viki's [Auto Baron!] skill can summon and transform Auto Baron V, which seems to be immune to [Shock] status. (Normal Auto Baron can still be inflicted with [Shock] status.) Stand near the entrance, and let Auto Baron V move in to tank Chaos Dominator. Note that you must transform Auto Baron with [Energy Charge] skill before attracting the boss' attention, otherwise the transformation will reset its hostility and target.
After Chaos Dominator dies, a roulette chest will appear, along with the standard item drops. Bonus roulette costs 3,000,000 Vis.

Immunity 0 • RES - Fire 65, Ice 65, Lightning 65, Mental 65
Tesla Coil • Lv.144 Lifeless • Heavy Armor • None • Medium
HP 15,267,429 • ATK Rating 74 • ATK 12,822 • DEF Rating 74 • DEF 254
Penetration 0 • Magic Penetration - Fire 0, Ice 0, Lightning 0, Mental 0

When Tesla Coil reaches 50% HP, it will summon Tesla Coil clones, and its size will shrink somewhat. Use area attacks to kill the clones as soon as possible, since they can inflict [Stun] status. When Tesla Coil reaches 25% HP, it will summon Tesla Coil clones again, and its size will shrink down to the same size as its minions.
Solo Raid Method: RES 100 Constructs
The constructs from Diego's [Guardian Structure] and Jack's [Destroyer] stances have Mental RES 100. This means they can effectively tank magic-dealing bosses. (See also Twisted Spacetime Room.) A +7 Heavenly Craft, enchanted with ATK Rating +2 and 3 sockets with Penetration +6, will suffice.
Build the constructs outside the room, then have one character runs in to lure the boss out to let the constructs tank. You can use this method for Jelly Fish as well.
To help your constructs tank better, you can equip the character(s) with Lucifer Wings, and/or set family attributes (Ctrl + T) to use HP Absorb (along with Penetration). This will help to heal the constructs in case [Repair Tool] construct is overworked.
Note: The monster name is Tesla Coil, not "Tesra Coil". A tesla coil is an electrical resonant transformer circuit, used to produce high-voltage alternating-current electricity. Engrish!

Jelly Fish • Lv.150 Lifeless • Light Armor • None • Medium
HP 18,421,440 • ATK Rating 77 • ATK 4,837 • DEF Rating 77 • DEF 246
Penetration 0 • Magic Penetration - Fire 0, Ice 0, Lightning 0, Mental 0
Immunity 0 • RES - Fire 90, Ice 90, Lightning 90, Mental 80
Generally, the squad will use Invulnerable Tank method (see below) to kill Jelly Fish. It is also possible to kite Jelly Fish and Hydro Bomber, as seen in the embedded video below.
Squad Raid Method: Invulnerable Tank
If the squad is weak, the tank can use this method earlier, such as during Tetra Pod or Tesla Coil. The tank goes in to provoke the boss, and his [Invulnerable] skill users will take turns to cast [Invulnerable] on the tank. Meanwhile, the dispel team must keep the boss under [Whole Cancellation] status to prevent it from using area attack skills. Once the setup is secure, call for the damage dealers to move in.
Lv.10 [Invulnerable] skill lasts for 12 seconds and has cool-down for 20 seconds. So when the cool-down for the first caster is 50% done, the second caster will cast on the tank.
The 2 [Invulnerable] users must stay at the skill's casting range (2.5m) of the tank. If they are too far, they will run into the tank's spot to cast, which will result in them getting hit by the boss. If they are too close, they will also be hit by the splash damage of the boss.
To enable the tank to use [Provoke] continuously under [Invulnerable] status, have either [Invulnerable] caster use Progressive Soul Filler potions to recover the tank's SP. [Meditation] and [Divine Bless] buffs will also help.
10. HYDRO BOMBER

Luciano • Lv.160 Human • Light Armor • None • Small
HP 1,230,528 • ATK Rating 82 • ATK 23,794 • DEF Rating 82 • DEF 288

Immunity 0 • RES - Fire 90, Ice 90, Lightning 90, Mental 100
Queen of Valkyrie • Lv.165 Demon • Heavy Armor • None • Medium
HP 30,134,476 • ATK Rating 84 • ATK 50,740 • DEF Rating 84 • DEF 286
Penetration 0 • Magic Penetration - Fire 0, Ice 0, Lightning 0, Mental 0
Immunity 0 • RES - Fire 90, Ice 90, Lightning 90, Mental 80
Queen of Valkyrie has 4 offensive skills. [Chaotic Ball/Death/Fury] skills deal magic damage, and can inflict [Chaos] status. [Chaotic Hack] skill deals melee damage, and can inflict [Shock] status.
Tank Method: Relayed [Invulnerable] Chain
[Whole Cancellation] is not needed for the final boss, so the dispel team should switch to [Incantation] stance. As before, the tank should use Progressive Soul Filler potions to recover SP while in [Invulnerable] status.
Lv.10 [Invulnerable] skill has a duration of 12 seconds, and a cool-down of 20 seconds. For the tank to be continuously under the buff, the next [Invulnerable] skill should be in effect while the previous skill's cool-down is half-way done.
The tank will provoke the boss, while his 2 [Invulnerable] skill users stay out of area attack range in a safe area. The dispel team will cast [Invulnerable] skill on the tank's 1st [Invulnerable] skill user (e.g. Emilia), who will run forward to cast [Invulnerable] on the tank.
When this character runs back to the safe area, the dispel team will cast [Invulnerable] skill on the tank's 2nd [Invulnerable] skill user, who will then run forward to cast [Invulnerable] on the tank, and back to the safe area. Repeat until the boss is dead, alternating between the tank's 1st and 2nd [Invulnerable] skill users.
For a sample of using relayed [Invulnerable] skills, see embedded video below. Watch the characters on the left side (at the start), standing apart from the main attack group. The tank's 2 [Invulnerable] skill users are labelled <1> and <2> in yellow text for coordination.
When Queen of Valkyrie is dead, it will drop the standard items, and a roulette chest. Bonus roulette costs 5,000,000 Vis.
