Mad Montoro
This mission was added in v19.82.65. Note that you may not redo this mission. Unlike other party missions, failure will still count towards the 1/week frequency limit.
Mission Information
Location: Special - see Party Missions for details.
Frequency: 1/week
Duration: 20 minutes
Participants: 5-50
Entry Cost: None
Requirement: Must belong to the raiding faction.
You do not need to kill all 5 bosses. Killing more bosses will give you better roulette rewards and faction activity points. Once you challenge a boss, you must kill it or the mission will fail.
If you intend to kill more than 2 bosses, the tank should include 2 [Invulnerable] buffers (e.g. Emilia, Wizard) to have an easier time with the 3rd boss. You will also need a dispel team for [Whole Cancellation] or [Eraser] skills. Let the dispel team click the device to activate each boss, so that the tank can re-buff himself. Take note of the remaining mission time before you decide to challenge the next boss.
1. Fury Rhinoceur
Click on the Suspicious Device to challenge the first boss. A zone notice will say: Kill Fury Rhinoceur which has a mysterious defense ability. Fury Rhinoceur will move forward to the middle of the chamber.
It is said that this boss takes less damage when it has more HP... Use Viki's [Tenderaiser] skill to inflict [Burn] status and reduce it to 75% HP quickly at the start. When it is at low HP, it will start to receive [Monstrous Intensify] buff... This can be dispelled. Just kill it quickly.
2. Fury Moon Knight
After the previous boss is dead, the Suspicious Device will appear. Click on it to either challenge the next boss or end the mission and receive the reward. If you challenge the next boss, a zone notice will say: Kill Fury Moon Knight which keeps on calling its underlings.
When its HP reaches certain values, Fury Moon Knight will summon Fury Moon Soldiers, eventually opening gates to spawn them as well.
3. Fury Key Holder
After the previous boss is dead, the Suspicious Device will appear. Click on it to either challenge the next boss or end the mission and receive the reward. If you challenge the next boss, a zone notice will say: Try to open the padlock and kill the Fury Key Holder.
Fury Key Holder can inflict [Freeze] status, which can be removed with [Recover] skill. Eventually, a zone notice will say: The Key Holder is appointing XXX family by using a key. He will then receive 4 monstrous buffs, which cannot be dispelled. The named family must then click on the Lock at F9/G9 to remove those buffs.
Fury Key Holder is leashed. If he is lured out of the main chamber, he will teleport back to the middle and be restored to full HP. Therefore, make sure you do not drag him out of the chamber while running to the lock.
Position the 2 buffers apart and use [Invulnerable] skills on the tank, such that the buffers are out of the boss' normal attack range. Keep Fury Key Holder under [Whole Cancellation] status to prevent him from casting area attack skills. The damage dealers should click on the lock when they are named, but the tank and dispel families should ignore the notice and stay with the boss.
Alternatively, you can use relayed [Invulnerable] method commonly used for Queen of Valkyrie.
4. Fury Portero
After the previous boss is dead, the Suspicious Device will appear. Click on it to either challenge the next boss or end the mission and receive the reward. If you challenge the next boss, a zone notice will say: Kill Fury Portero which is aiming for your back.
5. Fury Montoro
After the previous boss is dead, the Suspicious Device will appear. Click on it to either challenge the next boss or end the mission and receive the reward. If you challenge the next boss, a zone notice will say: Defeat the owner of Lucifer Castle, Fury Montoro.
Do NOT dispel him with [Whole Cancellation] skills. Doing so will provoke him to use the huge area [Disaster] skill that covers the entire main chamber except for the northern alcove. Even Lv.12 [Whole Cancellation] status will only last for 1 second on Fury Montoro. The dispel team should focus on resuscitating dead characters instead.
Viki's [Tenderaiser] can keep him under [Burn] status, however.
Reward
Bonus roulette costs 500,000 Vis. There are 3 different roulette tables for this mission. If you killed Fury Viscount Montoro, the 3rd roulette table is used. If you killed up to Fury Key Holder or Fury Portero, the 2nd roulette table is used. Otherwise, the 1st roulette table is used. The following roulette tables are taken from American game client (v20.03.13).
Under Revised Faction System, the more bosses you kill, the more faction activity points are awarded. If you kill up to Fury Key Holder, the faction gains 260 points. If you kill up to Fury Portero, the faction gains 350 points. If you kill up to Fury Montoro, the faction gains 500 points.
