Taking a break from the game, this blog is currently on hiatus. 💤

IPF Extractor

The game content can actually be extracted using a software called IPF Extractor.

For example, to extract the background music files, open bgm.ipf in Granado Espada\ge folder with IPF Extractor. Select the desired mp3 files and click Extract Selected button. So, who needs the CDs in the Limited Edition box set anyway? 😛

You can download IPF Extractor from Hongfire Forum 🔗. You can also get it from MegaUpload.

This software can also be used to extract other game materials, such as .jpg, .dds, and .wav files.

💬 UPDATE
This IPF Extractor actually requires certain Microsoft Visual C++ dependencies. If your system does not have them, you may encounter an error.

The package below includes the IPF Extractor and the required files, specifically msvcp71.dll and msvcr71.dll. Download it from MediaFire 🔗 or MEGA 🔗.

  2. I think that has something to do with resolution. But no matter. Use the standard hotkey, Alt-F to open File menu, then click O to open the window to select a .ipf file.

  3. Where did the files go after I extracted the IPF file? I can't find them:(

  4. It creates an ipf folder from where the .exe file is located. All extracted files go inside.

  5. Do you know how to take extracted files from one ipf and put them into another? I'm trying to extract some of the English voices from the old Gamersfirst se.ipf file and combine it with the English voices from sge and t3fun's versions of the game. I have all the files ready, I just need to know how to combine them into a new se.ipf file.
