Time Piece - Demonic Jurgen

Introduced in v9.5, all Time Piece (aka Time Paradox) missions come in 2 versions - normal and broken. You can select which type in the room creation window. Broken Time Piece mission is easier, but rewards less crystals from its roulette.

This raid mission is mainly for collecting Strata Devil Weapon materials and for making Evil Weapons (ATK Rating 34) - rifle, bayonet, pistol, crossbow, or shotgun. The following monster statistics are from Broken Time Paradox (v18.07.08). The boss statistics for Normal Time Paradox is also included below.

Mission Information
Location: Viron (E7)
Frequency: 2/day
Duration: 60 minutes
Participants: 1-12
Entry Cost: Free (1/day), 200 Shiny Crystals (2/day)
Requirement: Must have [Time Crystal] Demonic Jurgen quest to receive roulette reward

In v23.63.43, you can redo the mission by paying 200 Shiny Crystals. The maximum number of participants for Time Piece missions was reduced from 24 to 12.

To do this raid mission, it is recommended to have a tank family. One possible setup is Coimbra Trooper + Ludin + Emilia. Use monster damage reduction for family attribute. The monster attacks are all physical, so use Hrin's Potion, Blue Lollipop, Defensive/Triumph Filler, etc. All characters, including Ludin, should receive [Melee Enhancement] buff. Also, buff [Meditation] and [Divine Bless] to ensure they have enough SP later on.

Basically, the tank gets in close to attack Jurgen. Once he targets the tank, a series of skill spams must be maintained. Trooper will spam [Provoke], while Ludin will spam [Flame Dance] to kill any nearby Perfect Fordoi. Emilia will keep all characters under [Protection Field] at all times. You can substitute Ludin with Helena or Elementalist to use [Tension] instead.

Obviously, the squad needs at least 1 family to deal damage. Fire element attackers (e.g. Ludin) are preferred, as well as heavy armor weapon users (e.g. crossbow, great sword). Melee attackers usually get too close to the mob and Jurgen's area attacks. If there are families to spare, they may play the following optional roles.
  1. Dispeller - A family of 3 wizards/Emilia using [Whole Cancellation] to lock Jurgen's skills. Make sure the tank has secured Jurgen's attention before going in close.
  2. Mob Clearer - Area attack spammers (e.g. Ludin, Helena) or flying attackers (e.g. Reckless Emilia, Sharon) can help to clear the mobs, especially the Perfect Fordoi. The former is more effective due to short cool-down times, while the latter is safer since the mobs cannot hit flyers.
  3. Sub-Tank - The role here is to tank Jurgen immediately after he teleports, instead of waiting for him to walk back to the main tank.
  4. Support - Bring the usual support characters, such as Grace, Lorch, Rio, etc. Lisa and Battle Smith Idge should use the same tank buffs mentioned above.
For (Normal) Time Paradox, it is recommended to have Lisa and Battle Smith Idge as Demonic Jurgen has considerably more HP and DEF Rating.

A. Start Point
You begin in this area. Move further into the alcove to buff up. If you bring a buffer mule/alternate family, leave it here as a safety anchor (so you can use Soul Crystal even if everyone else is dead). Once you are buffed, move up to area C.

There are 2 types of monsters constantly running around the map. Both of them cannot hit flying characters. Perfect Fordoi is weak against magic, while Transition King Geckos is weak against physical attacks. You can ignore them for now. Once tanking begins, they will mostly concentrate on the tank. It is important to clear Perfect Fordoi as soon as possible. Its super-high ATK Rating (107) can result in tank death, if the tank gets targeted by a mob of them.

Perfect Fordoi • Lv.135 Demon • Light Armor • None • Small
HP 32,712 • ATK Rating 107 • ATK 94,371 • DEF Rating 67 • DEF 193
Penetration 65 • Magic Penetration - Fire 0, Ice 0, Lightning 0, Mental 0
Immunity 0 • RES - Fire 40, Ice 40, Lightning 40, Mental 75

Transition King Geckos • Lv.135 Wildlife • Soft Armor • None • Small
HP 6,133,500 • ATK Rating 89 • ATK 13,950 • DEF Rating 69 • DEF 38
Penetration 100 • Magic Penetration - Fire 0, Ice 0, Lightning 0, Mental 0
Immunity 0 • RES - Fire 90, Ice 90, Lightning 90, Mental 99

These monsters sometimes ended up bugged. When they killed all characters of a family, they may get stuck doing nothing with "!" above their heads. If this happens, leave them alone. They will not move/attack, unless someone hits them first.

B. Jurgen's Leashed Area
Jurgen starts out here, but he has a green gauge bar that is constantly filling up. When it is full, he will teleport to area D (randomly chosen). Thereafter, he will walk back here. When he walks back, the tank needs to attack Jurgen to become his target. [Provoke] alone will not work, although [Defiance Aura] works fine.

Demonic Jurgen Furuhollen (Broken TP) • Lv.127 Wildlife • Heavy Armor • None • Large
HP 52,246,320 • ATK Rating 70 • ATK 59,535 • DEF Rating 66 • DEF 220
Penetration 100 • Magic Penetration - Fire 0, Ice 0, Lightning 0, Mental 0
Immunity 20 • RES - Fire 50, Ice 90, Lightning 90, Mental 98

Demonic Jurgen Furuhollen (Normal TP) • Lv.140 Wildlife • Heavy Armor • None • Large
HP 172,800,000 • ATK Rating 77 • ATK 64,800 • DEF Rating 73 • DEF 240
Penetration 100 • Magic Penetration - Fire 0, Ice 0, Lightning 0, Mental 0
Immunity 20 • RES - Fire 50, Ice 90, Lightning 90, Mental 98

C. DPS Holding Area
The damage dealers should stay here, while the tank moves up to area B. Once the tanking is in process, they can move up slightly to attack Jurgen. If no wizard family is deployed for [Whole Cancellation], damage dealers can move back here slightly to avoid Jurgen's area skills.

It is important that damage dealers stop attacking Jurgen when his gauge bar is almost full. Once he teleports, he resets his target, and will seek out the attacker (if any) instead of the tank.

D. Jurgen's Teleport Areas
As mentioned above, when Jurgen's gauge bar is full, he will teleport to one of these areas. If the squad has secondary tanks, they can stay here to tank Jurgen instead. If not, let him walk back to area B where the main tank awaits. His path back to area B could be left semi-circle, right semi-circle, or middle lane through area C. If the path is the last, attackers should take care to avoid him until the tank gets to him.

To summarize, the raid pattern is basically...
  1. Tank goes up to area B and attacks Jurgen, spamming [Provoke], [Flame Dance], and [Protection Field].
  2. Damage dealers move forward to attack Jurgen until his gauge bar is almost full. Any optional roles also come in here.
  3. Damage dealers move back to area C, while Jurgen teleports.
  4. Tank clears any remaining Perfect Fordoi with [Flame Dance] and re-buffs [Protection Field] while Jurgen walks back to area B.
  5. Repeat steps (1) to (4) until Jurgen is dead.

Reward
Demonic Jurgen may drop White Gold Bars, Lv.92/96/100/Veteran Enchantment Chips, Lv.92 Elite Equipment, Lv.96 Elite Weapon (rare), Lv.100 Elite Weapon (rare), Le Noir, Pieces of Naraka, and 1-3 of each Jurgen's Strata Devil Weapon materials (e.g. Fury of Jurgen, Heart of Jurgen). The roulette will spin immediately upon the death of the boss for players with [Time Crystal] Demonic Jurgen quest. Bonus roulette costs 1,500,000 Vis.

Note that once Demonic Jurgen dies, you can no longer use potions or Soul Crystals. However, the Perfect Fordoi will remain behind, so you still need to clear them as soon as possible before picking up the loot. If not, switch Emilia to [Darkness] stance, so you can loot safely without being killed.

Roulette Reward Broken Normal Rate
Portable Ancient Star Orb Box (10,000) 1 1 1.5%
Time Crystal: Demonic Jurgen 1 1-3 5.5%
Time Crystal: Demonic Jurgen 2 4-5 92.0%
Time Crystal: Demonic Jurgen 3 6-7 1.0%

In v23.63.43, the boss drops only 1-5 Tear, Agony, Despair, and Fury of Jurgen. Once the boss is dead, roulette chest will appear where the boss first appears. Broken Time Piece mission rewards 1-4 Time Crystals, while normal Time Piece mission rewards 2-8 Time Crystals. Portable Ancient Star Orb Box has also been removed from the roulette. The amount of Time Crystals required to make Evil Weapon has been reduced from 600 to 150. Bonus roulette still costs 1,500,000 Vis.
